Increasing Awareness and Proposing Solutions
This exhibition challenges participating artists to explore new
choices for a sustainable world and send out messages concerning human rights
on issues like human trafficking and exploitation.
“What is the connection between the Earth’s imbalance and our
imbalance as a species?”
On the theme of a sustainable world we invite artist to use their
art as a catalyst to inspire, educate, and engage the public in environmental
conservation. We believe that the fusion of art and environment is a powerful synergistic tool
for positive social change.
On the theme of Human rights, The exhibit will consists of art works
dedicated to human rights education and will encompass a variety of themes set
forth in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. “To reaffirm faith in fundamental human rights, in the dignity and
worth of the human person, in the equal rights of men and women and of nations
large and small”.
Artworks will explore the relationship of people to the
environment, evoking the argument that nurturing people and nurturing the earth
are the same, or parallel processes, also could bear messages of inter-racial
and inter-generational respect and the importance of family. The theme also
advocates living in social harmony and protecting the environment.
With the coming together of themes from the visual arts we want to
let the public know that we as artists are increasingly seeing ourselves as
having a role not only in raising awareness of social and environmental issues,
but actively promoting solutions.
Performing arts, installations and artist talks
are encouraged. If you would like
to participate with an artist talk or express a message, please let our staff
know and we will make arrangements to include you in the program for the week
when we invite the public to attend each event.
"It is now your turn to take on the task of leadership to build a
new world, a new civilization, through the development of human character, and
the evolution of the human soul. Whatever it is that you do in life, ultimately
this is the only game worth playing. To play a game lesser than that is to fail
the dignity of your soul."
